In the past, the only way to donate to Rose Hill was by check. This year, we are pleased to offer even more ways to make gifts.

1. Donations by Check– We are always grateful to accept donation checks. Please mail them to the cemetery office:

2. Online Donations – You can now make a gift online.
3. Donation of appreciated stock or other securities – Please consider this opportunity to benefit Rose Hill while simultaneously reducing your tax bill. It you have investments (i.e. individual stocks or mutual funds) that have appreciated in value since you originally purchased them, you can donate them to the cemetery. You get to deduct the full amount of the donation from your taxable income, thus lowering your tax bill. Here is an example: Assume you bought 1 O shares of stock for $1,500 that are now valued at $2,500.
   You could sell the shares, pay tax on the gain, and then give the remainder to Rose Hill. If instead you donate the shares directly to Rose Hill, you avoid paying tax on the gain, you receive a tax deduction for the total amount of the gift, and Rose Hill receives the full $2,500.*
4. Donate of a portion of your Required Minimum Distribution – Individuals over the age of 72 who own a retirement account {like an IRA) are required to take a minimum distribution, which is included in your taxable income. If you decide to donate a portion of that distribution directly to Rose Hill instead, you can simultaneously reduce your tax obligation and benefit the cemetery.*
